Have you ever had one of those days where you seem to witness the strange and unusual going on all around you? Now, I am not one to believe in the paranormal, but when a series of events happen which seem to be connected in some strange, unseen way occur, it makes me question myself!
It started early in the morning, when as I picked up the phone, I knew that it would be my brother before either of us spoke. Now, this wouldn’t be unusual if we spoke to each other once a day, but months can go by without us calling each other. Still, I didn't think anything to it, and went about the rest of the morning not really thinking about it.
Then, a series of strange coincidences began to happen. I would be thinking something random like Herbie the VW beetle, and all of a sudden a vw contract hire van would go by. I could guess the name of the next song coming on the radio, and even odder, I went through a notorious 5 mile section of the city, and every light kept green for me.
This was quite clearly my day, and so I went down to the newsagent and put some numbers on the lottery. Surely I could not go wrong!
Well, I did win 10 quid, but I have to say that is where my luck ended, and where my run of the strange and unusual also finished. Back to being an unbeliever for me!
